Talking about the nicest thing about my job.

I don’t earn much doing what I do. Sometimes or at least most of the time, I am forced to shell out something from my own pocket just to continue what I do.

For quite some time I thought of deviating to another field, those who could sustain my financial hunger. But often, my work reminded me of the times when I get to see, talk and rub shoulders with people whom only a few of us can only mingle with.

Like India, here in the Philippines we are being separated by caste. Not literally though but is a way it is most likely a good analogy. We don’t have slaves but we have the poorest of the poor, another level will be the “not so poor”.

A step level into that rank is the middle class which is also being divided into two namely the lower middle class (from which I belong) and the upper middle class which is always associated with the gold diggers, rich wannabes and those who pretends to be rich “the pretenders”.

Although I reiterate earlier that I belong to the lower middle class (which is above only to the “not so poor” sector of) society, I did get the privilege to enter college and possess a degree. It has been my tool and passport for this trade.

I was fortunate enough to talk, mingle and dine side by side with the elite class, the most upper class society here at home. With it, I’m glad, my happiness is very shallow, a friend of mine told me years ago. I told her yes, indeed because I live by the day and I live as if it is the last day of my life.

So what better way to savor the last day of your life that to thank the Almighty for the blessing and grace along with giving love, compassion and wisdom to everyone and enjoy the borrowed life. That’s what i love about my job, and right now i’m quite contented.
