I’m a single mother of 2 children aged 4 and 8, I have been looking for a job since august 2008, and its so difficult.

Its very difficult for me, as a single mum of 2 and not alot off family support i have been looking for a job to better myself and my children’s lives.

I find alot of jobs but the hours are no good, I don’t want to spend my years on benefits, I have joined courses to help me get qualifications and better my confidence.

I think alot more could be done for us single parents that actually want to get a job, I’ve done as much as i can joining courses and currently doing work experience at Barclay-card, Its given me so much more confidence.

Iapplied for a job as a activities coordinator at an old peoples home. I would never have dreamed of going for a job like that. But the help and support i got on the horizons group made me believe in myself, So i went for the job and today i got a call for an interview.
Ive worked so hard looking for a job, I’m not one to give up, And I’m so hoping that i get this job.
