A trip down memory lane. Reminiscing treasured people, hopes, and dreams.

In my opinion, this is one of the most romantic love songs I have ever heard in my life. It’s passionate and expresses just about everything most people universally want from true love.

And, it’s funny how sometimes you can forget the things in life that you love the most. I know that I have because when your need to just “survive” and get through the day kicks in, some of the other things in your life have to take a back seat.

As many of my readers know, I reunited with my adopted parents about a year ago after being estranged from them for 8 years. It hasn’t been easy and recently it took a turn for the worse. But, because of my extraordinary issues with them, I had lost touch with many special people in my life.

Now, as I build more inner strength realizing that the pain I feel about my adopted family can only hold me down if I allow it to, I am starting to reach out and try to find some of those special people to re-connect with. So far, I have been able to find two long-lost friends, both from my high school days. The internet is truly a blessing.

The one friend was a guy I had been friends with all throughout high school. We had only been friends up until the very end of senior year when we finally became “boyfriend and girlfriend” for about two weeks and then he told me he wasn’t ready for a relationship. After that, we lost touch.

This song was on a mixed tape I had kept from him.

Who knows what the future holds for you? Sometimes you realize that it truly is a “Small World After All” and one day you will be “The Princess Bride” if you believe, hope and dream with all your heart.

Beautiful song and visual. Well written article. You are right sometimes, a lot of times we do just kick into survival mode and that can be a good thing but ultimately we miss the beauty, joy and blessings that are out there just waiting to be noticed by us in our busy lives. Great article. Crystal

    Somebody

    I want somebody to share
Share the rest of my life
    Share my innermost thoughts
    Know my intimate details
Someone who’ll stand by my side
    And give me support
    And in return
    She’ll get my support
    She will listen to me
    When I want to speak
About the world we live in
    And life in general
Though my views may be wrong
    They may even be perverted
    She’ll hear me out
    And won’t easily be converted
    To my way of thinking
    In fact she’ll often disagree
But at the end of it all
    She will understand me

    I want somebody who cares
    For me passionately
With every thought and with every breath
Someone who’ll help me see things
    In a different light
    All the things I detest
    I will almost like
I don’t want to be tied
    To anyone’s strings
I’m carefully trying to steer clear
    Of those things
    But when I’m asleep
    I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me
    And kiss me tenderly
    Though things like this
    Make me sick
    In a case like this
    I’ll get away with it.

Life brings us the things we need in order to fulfill our destiny, it opens like a flower showing us the way to go. Never fear what is before you and embrace all the things that have made you who you are, you are a unique beautiful person! Love & light.

It does not require strength to do things, but it requires great strength to decide what to do. Im happy that you are getting in touch with long lost friends and loved ones. You are a beautiful person, it reflects in your writings, choice of pictures, your heartfelt comments and messages. May God bless you and be with you always!
