Things get a little crazy when you start asking these type of questions.
Interesting idea of how we might point a value on our physical being—do any of us want to actually point a price on our body to do something painful yet very your wallet? To a point, this is an interesting realm of physical existences that we literally write quite clearly a price onto our forehead (or pinkie finger for the sake of it) if we decided “I will break my pinkie finger for that much”. If anyone ever got offered it the answer to breaking anything will be an undeniable truth of a certain YES! Come on! I know for a fact I would break my own pinkie finger for that much, because in all honesty the pinkie finger isn’t a required finger—it’s just there waiting to be used or broken.
I wouldn’t break my thumb or anything else; because of the whole advantage my thumbs give me. The idea of how I’d go about breaking my own pinkie finger is quite clear from reading a little issue of Watchmen “Take hold, bend back in one uninterrupted motion and there you go. One completely crippled finger but one completely healthy bank account”. In all probably certainty I would suffer monumental pain for a bit (I wish), though the pain might magically disappear into the depth of my mind once I hold a nice wad of cash (or a comically oversized check….actually no comically oversized checks. Impractical to carry around and might not be accepted at the bank).
Who would’ve thought someone wouldn’t? Actually I heard about this other question going along the lines of “Would you fuck a corpse for a million pounds?” My answer to that was a nicely answered “No” because there’s a whole realm of differences between corpse fucking and breaking your own pinkie finger (regardless of the money involved). Weirdly anyone who answered “Yes” weren’t judged—but that’s probably because of people silently judging the person, which is worse because no one has the balls to point it out.
Do it all Reservoir Dogs style, if you want to be created in breaking a finger or two for a ten thousand or so…..do it my way though. Take hold and pull back with a teaspoon of suffering.
To anyone thinking this is a challenge, don’t think that for one second….idiot!
Thought of the Day: August 29th:
Playing around on comic ideas (having fun with ideas works better), I never flipped a coin with the ideas popping in and out of existence from the weirdest places to find inspiration for them.
