“I never asked you Ethan, how is it you are out here?”

Ethan Caraway, first mate of the USS Valiant turns to his captain Jason Bradbury in the earth morning hour of 7 a.m. the year 2340.

“I have a dream to explore the symmetry of the universe. There is the theory of the all One. The essence of the Circle. “

“The essence of the circle?”

“It is a movement started by J. Atworthy about one hundred years ago.”

“There was a course at the academy on interstellar thought models I didn’t take, but my roommate did and he mentioned that name at the time.”

“I would say we are probably talking about the same person. Anyway, the overall premise is if one follows the plan of the circle then the secrets of our life and its meaning will be revealed to us.”

“So how will this mission help you understand our essence?” The Captain locks his eyes on the darting gaze of his subordinate, like his ship would with a sensory ray on a foreign object.

“There was an old expression “Connect the dots” for us it”s “connect the Circles” if one does that then secrets of the universe will be revealed.”

“Can you give me some examples?”

“The Circle is why we are here. To begin with our being begins with the circle of a zygote. We are born on a round planet that is a family with other round planets parading before the round life giving and sustaining sun.”

“Okay.”

“We take the idea of the circle and create wheels so we can travel and expand our experience. We put the concept into mathematics with zero. We use that to help us dream broadly in our imaginations. Beyond our planet, out to the stars.”

Ethan brings his arms over his head and touches his fingers together creating a circle. “The idea of the One is if the idea of the Circle is followed in the physical world and worlds then we will all discover how we fit together in the universe. By going out we will eventually go in and discover our purpose. Our reason for being. How each of us makes sense with each other.”
