The story of an everyday henchman.
I failed a drill today and got an earful from Robert. A bird broke a window on the twenty-ninth floor and I went to the staircase finally posting on the nineteenth floor. But I was supposed to be on the elevator team since Doug was out sick. I thought I was going to be canned but Robert just told me to not make a mistake again.
One of the guys, Paul, was angry in the afternoon and Joel and I had to stop him from wailing on an accountant who was looking for Robert.
Everyone seemed a bit off the rest of the afternoon, which I almost forgot about since I came home to Liz yelling at me. I forgot to pick up cheese on the way home and she just let me have it. I suppose she had a hard day at her father’s law firm. I was pretty worked up but by the time I returned from the store with the cheese I was calmed down. She hasn’t spoken to me all night but she just needs her space. I’ll pick up a bottle of wine for her tomorrow.
