Some cravings can drive you plain mad.

Every night the hunger came upon me like clock work taking control of my very being and driving me to uncontrollable urges, again and again! My forehead began to sweat profusely while my hands trembled. For I was in the throws of a most dreadful craving. It was then that I noticed true madness had struck! Each minute of each night the tormentor inside of me grew stronger and suddenly without warning it would strike. So intent I was on thee inevitable that a feeling of absolute power and voraciousness overtook and led me to this unspeakable deed. I remember it strikingly…superbly. For I knew the time had come again! Oh, I knew with satifaction that it was going to be a most pleasant night….for me.

The hour had grown late and the night dark. Preparing for what was to come I turn down each lamp and make my way towards the staircase with great excitement and trepidation. I cautiously climb each stair making my way slowly to the top, with mild ease. Shadows danced eerily across the walls as the lamplight flickered drunkenly.

My insides churning with anticipation as I silently tiptoed down the hall, so as not to invade my brothers’ slumber. The sound of his snores filled the eerie night as rest took him. The craving grows ever so cunningly as I can barely breathe now. Careful as not to make a sound, I step over the lose floorboard knowing the sound woulds surely wake him, and praise myself, silently, for my cleverness.

Finally, upon reaching his door without sound or hesitation I turn the knob…aaah, open…I was in! Pausing for a mere second for any sounds of disturbance, none came, I proceeded to tiptoe ever so boldly and silently into his room. Most cautiously I made my way to his bed where he slumbered. Aha..the deed near done! At last the core of my very madness lay before me, teasing me, taunting me. I boldly reached down, the excitement heightening my senses as I ever so stealthily grab the last bag of Oreo cookies from beneath his grubby fingers. Oh, how brilliant I was! Cautiously and so…ah yes, so cunningly I gaily tiptoed back, softly closing the door behind me and disappearing back into the darkened hallway! Oh, how I giggled mischievously at this!

With sheer satisfaction of my profound cleverness I quietly and quickly ease myself  ever so gentlemanly like down into my lazy chair. So very careful as not to drop a single crumb, I cautiously pulled the two sides apart and licked the cream from within! Aaah! The sheer pleasure of Oreo cookies! It was then that I felt a faint  stirring in my belly. Yess! Such pleasure for a mere man!

You did manage to build the suspense. My only disappointment is that you didn’t fetch a glass of milk to wash those Oreo’s down.
