A letter to the world on daycare abuse, and cost of daycare.

Dear World,

I am a stay at home mother trying to make money from home either by writing, making banner ads, or videos for others. I find many people misunderstand why a mother would be online as much as I am. I need to make a living to help support my family, and this is the only way of doing so without risking possible harm to my daughter.

I have been falsely accused by others online that I have an internet or online disease. This is not accurate or any form of truth.

Daycares have been featured in the news of children disappearing from the facility as you can see from this link if you click here. This is only one centre, and I have researched many different pages and sites of daycare abuse.

A site I located is calleddaycareabuse.com, and I had to wonder and question why an entire site is dedicated to this topic. Statistics have claimed more then one daycare a day is reported for abuse. Daycares have been questioned on cleaning practices, not paying attention to the children, having too many children per teacher.

I am not claiming all daycares fall into this category but how does one know for sure or have some sort of guarantee this will never occur to your children or child at the centre you choose.

Instead of being called a good mother for my fear of the possibility that my child could vanish or be abused, I have been accused of being a bad mother instead. My computer is in the living room along with my beautiful little girl, and she is watched like a hawk. I read to her daily and play with her daily. She receives regular naps and bedtimes. My child does not get spanked, nor does she go without any meals. She receives plenty of interaction and plenty of play. We go outdoors every day that it is not raining or any other weather such minus conditions.

On top of this, some daycares in Canada can cost up to 1000 dollars a month for quality care. Who has this sort of money?

Before you place judgment on a mother trying to help feed her family, or question her time online, please consider these very crucial factors. Many hours a day I am not even online. My home is clean, and I do take care of the house and my family quite well.
