About people in my country.

Marge turner, who just visited Denmark, visited for the first time 30 years ago and now she’s here again, she’s writing for a tourist magazine, and she is very positive about the Danes and Denmark as a country. But somehow I think she missed the whole picture, she seems just to have been looking at all the most positive things, but maybe she’s right, maybe that’s just the picture of Denmark, I’ve never really thought of it, but I certainly will next time I go to town. But yes it’s right that you, for example can place your baby stroller outside without the baby being kidnapped. But what does that tell about Denmark, I think it tells a lot more about all the other countries around the world, where you can’t place your baby in a baby stroller outside without being afraid about the safety of your baby, and about whether it’ll be there when you come back. I’ve heard some stories about Danes In the USA, they left their baby in the baby stroller outside, then the police came, and they where charged for not taking care of their baby, that’s scarring. But of course I’m happy to see that the country I live in seems beautiful and in harmony in others eyes.

Another one of her comments tells me that she believes that we live in one of the most technologically countries in the world, but again I must confess that I don’t believe she’s right, yes we do have a lot of technology in our daily life, but not as much as for example Japan, or the United States, they’ve got cameras all over, you nearly can’t go anywhere in the midst of a city without being video taped, and the same is about to happen throughout Europe, I think it’s disgusting, I believe that you should be able to walk freely without being videotaped, I think it’s amazing that the governments accepts that, if I were in their position, with that kind of power I would stop that kind of security, as they call it. It might prevent some crimes, but they also looks at every one of us, and tells without words that they don’t believe in our innocence. But on the other hand I do see the reasons why the companies uses videotaping as security, it’s a lot easier to prove that somebody has done anything wrong if you got them videotaped, but it also seems wrong that the companies have got to use videotaping and guards just to keep safe, I think that a lot of people should have had a better set of parents who could have had told them what to do and what not to do.

Another one of her comments, I think it was the last tells that Denmark has a perfect mix of past, now and future, first of all I think it’s hard to have a mix containing the future, as it will not be future when you have it, and I believe that we could get rid of a lot of old stuff without complaining, instead we could build something new and revolutionary, but that’s a question about taste, I like new stuff and I don’t lay bonds around myself when telling what I think is right. But of course there are some stuff that we ought to keep and take care of, for example the pyramids in Egypt, because of their uniqueness, you don’t see a lot of that kind in Denmark, I can’t think about something you can’t see in a whole lot of different countries, of course it’s not the exact same things but something likely. I think that they should be removed if something new and innovative came up and needed the space.
