Here is my recap of today that goes into my journal. As usual, there is no earth shattering news. There’s just Ol’ Rooster living day to day and telling everyone about it.

Work was OK today. It’s just work. I have been doing some good things at work. I am technically a manager even though I am used as a technician a lot of times. But I have been able to at least manage a bit as of late. That’s good and bad. If I help out on the managing end I wind up getting behind on the technician end. I am a pretty good manager on most things and I will do that as much as I can.

I got my shipment of Zoysia grass and will plant it Saturday. I have taken it out of the box, turned it blade side up and watered it well. I think this will help my grass situation in my yard. I guess I should say lack of grass situation in my yard. It’s my back yard mostly. I have no grass in it. My dogs running on it combined with little rain since the middle of last year and some pretty good shade all conspire to keep my grass from growing. This Zoysia grass will change all of that. I am very high on it and I am relatively certain it will grow nicely. At least that is what I am looking forward to. I think it will be a great purchase and make our yard look wonderful.

The NCAA Tourney resumes again tonight. There are 4 games. I have been following them. North Carolina is mauling Washington State. Xavier and West Virginia are in overtime. There are two more games to follow.

The weekend is near. The feeling I have at 5 pm on Friday’s is just wonderful. It’s hard to describe. I just love walking out of the building knowing it’s the start of the weekend. Tomorrow was my off Friday as far as going out and having a little fun, but it’s an on Friday because my buddy does not have his little boy. But I am going to have to pass. I will go with my wife and niece to eat and have fun with them. I will just tell my buddy we’ll have to do it some other time. I will see what my wife says though. She told me to go with my buddy earlier, but sometimes when a woman says that they actually mean, “If you go with him you are going to have to pay for it for a long, long, long time.” LOL
