At the end of 2001, I was finishing my specialization in Neurology when I started to complain of migrainous headache. I also made a few mistakes attributed to my fatigue, a gluing condition where every little thing begins to be considered as out of grasp and costs amounts of energy.

I asked for an MRI in an other center but it was scheduled only six months later. Finally, after some discussion with my boss and teacher, we obtained to pass MRI in our university.

The imaging was desolating, my brain flashed mainly in the frontal and cerebellar regions. And it was the beginning of a long set-up of various examinations, in order to exclude other causes of inflammation. Spinal tap was performed and excluded a multiple sclerosis.

A slight visual deficit was discovered in whatever quadrant, after a retinal artery occulsion, and audition was also checked, showing a sensori-neural deficit at the right ear.

In the end, the picture for a Susac syndrome was complete and I received some corticosteroid, some cyclophosphamid and also some plasmapheresis.

This is a one-shot disease, quickly installed, slowly vanishing for the tiredness, dramatically persistent in some details like the earing loss, or the sterility (due to the cyclophospamid).
