It felt so funny writing you this letter.  I mean I never imagined myself sitting down and writing you a letter.  I mean, we have always been together.  Every day we see each other.  We talk about so many things- important things, but okay, mostly just trivial things.  In short, we talked almost about anything under the sun.  We always do things together.

And then one day you suddenly told me that you were moving out of the country together with your whole family.  I felt cold  like you pour ice all over my body.  I was really shocked and devastated.  I can never imagine life without you by my side.

I never realized that things really could suddenly fall out of place.  I was left alone, and oh so alone.  I never felt so lonely and empty like I feel now that you, my best friend, is so far away from me.  Something is not quite right.  I mean, best friends must be together always.  That is the reason, why they are called best friends.  You are always seen together in good and bad times.

But then I realized that we have to grow up sometimes.  I realized that I couldn’t keep you forever on my side—that sooner or later we have to let go.  Soon you will have your new best friend there, and hopefully, I would find mine.  But no matter what happens, I want you to know that I will always be your best friend, and no distance could ever change that.  I miss you.  Please write as often as you can.
