An opinion on the charity TWLOHA.
You know, I’m only 17, but I’ve been through a lot, and I’ve seen a a lot of pain.
I know everyone has their different story, and their reasons.
Some of those reasons are more dramatic than others.
I tend to respect both ends of the spectrum.
Recently, in the past couple month’s I’ve discovered (as in found on the eInternet, not that I created it. I wish I was that brilliant) a foundation called To Write Love on Her Arms.
It raises money, and awareness for people who suffer from depression, attempted suicide, or tried to harm themselves in anyway (cutting, biting etc…)
I really honor the group of people who are running “TWLOHA”.
Ive bought a t-shirt, a wrist band, and early this week bought the book the Purpose of Pain.
From the way I understand it, the book is suppose to be a collection of journal entries of teenagers who have gone through varies situations, and tried to hurt themselves.
I’m excited to get the book. I find it interesting reading things like that.
I always find a way to relate, even if its just the slightest.
Just the thought of all humans being very different, yet very alike at the same time really ignites my interest. Other than buying from “TWLOHA”, I have join social vibe. It is a networking site, yet you are able to pick a cause, and two sponsors. The more you log on, and interact with others the more points you will gain. The more points you have the more it benefits your cause because your sponsors will donate more money. Obviously, I pick”TWLOHA” as my cause. Social Vibe was a great idea, and so was To Write Love on Her Arms.
