Multiple personality disorder could be the reason you feel trapped in the wrong body. Medication might be the answer, not surgery.

I have a theory. I was watching a famous doctor show today. The show was about a man who decided he wanted to live as a women. I really do not have a problem with that. The man said he had always had feelings like he should have been a women. This man puts his true feelings back so far inside him that he gets married and has kids. Well he did have a few wives and maybe they should have compared notes, hind sight is twenty twenty. He tells his kids this is how it is and don’t call me dad ever again. The kids could not understand. They feel this “women” killed their father, not literally. There are so many people in the world that say they are trapped in the wrong body.Could it be it is a split personality that is trapped and eventually the personality wins? Maybe we should try medication for multiple personalities before we allow a person to mutilate their body. I am open to hearing all sides but could this be a possibility.

i have dissociative identity disorder and all my personalties are male…what you have said is kind of true…well at least to some people. not all people who feel theyre in the wrong body have did…its a total different thing and vice versa..especially as the majority of people with did have different personalities of the same sex…but i find ive always been asking myself that question am i trapped in the wrong body?…but its hard to decide whether people who have did and gender identity problems…which way around it started…creating males because thats what you feel you are..or wanting to be male because your personalities take over and make you feel that way….ive suffered my whole life with this…and i still couldnt tell you which lol :)
