It seemed to me that Victoria and I had clicked like the fall of a dead bolt. I was shortly to find out that I was right in my assumption.

Continued from Part 2 …… The Circus Comes to Town

I find Victoria’s place easy enough thanks to the hotel clerk’s directions. It’s a Gated Garden Apartment on the second floor with a terrace. Very nice place, professionally landscaped with a pool complex and all the amenities. I ring the doorbell and in a moment a very beautiful woman opens the door. Victoria has out done her name.

“Would you like a drink on the terrace before we go out?” “Why sure, that would be nice.”  After some short get to know you better conversation and how do you know Randy. I explained the hat incident from the previous night and she just delights in the moment. All this time we have not looked away from each other. It seemed to me that Victoria and I had clicked like the fall of a dead bolt. I was shortly to find out that I was right in my assumption. She and I were each other’s opposite number. Everyone has one or maybe more of these people. You both tick to the same metro don; perfect mental synchronization. But to be clear, she was not my soul mate. I met my soul mate some time later and we have been married for the last twenty years. And that’s something else entirely. That’s a whole different level and experience.

Danger Combustible Materials

We never made it out the door. I kissed her in the living room and she pulls me to the bedroom. A lot of expensive clothes were quickly shredded when brains short-circuited. Think of the most torrid love scene you’ve watched at the movies…. this was it. But I am not going to write erotica. Not today……..

Exhaustion And A Visitor

Dinner never happened. Some time later she brought some light sandwiches. I learned that she did not get much sleep that day either and now that it was dark out we both fell of to sleep easily… That’s when God showed up. “Hey, Grant! Grant! Wake up I have things to show you.” No, I did not hear a voice, but the message was clear enough. This was about day seven of non-stop running. My tank was empty and I couldn’t run off to something else even if I wanted to. He had me where he wanted me.

I had met Him several years prior to this and knew very well who and what He was. But I never had time or at least I never gave Him the time to really get to know him. Too busy trying to fit three life times into one I guess. Now it was time to see the world as it really is.
