Traveling to Mississippi to visit my son the Sea Bee before he is deployed to the Middle East in a couple weeks.

My son loves to fish but hasn’t since he left home last June. He had a pole but no reel so off to the store we went so I could get him one. He didn’t hesitate one second, on the way home we stopped at this spot so he could fish for some time. He was in his glory and so was I watching him enjoy what he had missed since home.He caught a few fish but none of us have a clue what they were. Ethan is a catch and release fisher man but he had a blast.

This is a photo of the three of us in front of Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans. Ya gambling is my weakness but we didn’t spend much on this day. We spent a couple hours just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.

This is a shot driving along the beach in Gulfport. This was the best day of the week with the sun shining and the weather warm. Only a couple days to go before Mom has to leave her baby.
My trip to Mississippi was very bitter sweet. I had a wonderful time visiting with my son and his new wife. They treated me like I was a queen staying in a high class hotel. I enjoyed myself a lot but in the end I also knew I would have to say good bye to Ethan for a very long time.

He woke me up on my last day. I talked to him and told him how proud I am of him for protecting us all. I always knew he would accomplish great things, but protecting all of us as Americans I don’t think I expected all of this.
Before he left on this morning we hugged each other and said our I love you’s and off he went. I cried my eyes out from the time I exited the car until my plane reached Georgia. I am proud of him, but so scared for where he is about to go. I am sure there is not a mom out there that wants their sons or daughters in a war. I pray God will hear all of our prayers and bring all of them home very soon.
I love you Ethan, be safe and remember always I love you!
