My trip to Hollywood.

Recently I took a short trip to Hollywood and LA. I had never been before and I come form the East Coast so it was an interesting venture to see something new.

Above is the famous Hollywood sign. If you don’t know there is really no place to stop and take photos of this. I took this picture as I was driving towards it.

Of course I was impressed by this site just because all my life I have seen it in the movies and now for the first time I was in the presence of it. I wanted to go above the Hollywood sign and walk down to the letters, but could not seem to find the right road to get me there.

There are so many peoples names on this walk along the streets of Hollywood. So many memories of the past and the present.

Our next stop was down town Hollywood. We found the few blocks that seem to make it all up. I realize the movies make things larger than life, but I must say I was a bit disappointed by it being so small.

The Chinese Theater was impressive with all the movie stars hands and foot prints, although very crowded by folks who was on their own adventure to do the same as we were.

Of course we all know who Cary Grant is and how famous a movie star he truly was. Here are his hand prints that will keep his memory alive forever in cement. One could not help but remember some of the experts from his movies, such as a An Affair To Remember or Born To Be Bad. What a wondrous man this guy truly was.

Along the walk of fame are stars of everyone. Here is a photo of the famous Bob Hope. What a comedian he was and always made us laugh.

The next star is of course Marilyn Monroe. I do believe the entire world knows who this blond beauty was. This is me with her star. I could not help feel a sense of honor as I knelt down beside this symbol of what used to be.

Yes this is Beverly Hills. I was not sure what to expect here but have heard all the stories from this place. Movie stars homes, money, and fame. I must say this was my favorite place to see. The roads that wonder through this grand place is like no other. The serenity I felt as we strolled along the roads of such tranquillity was like none I have ever experienced.

I am not sure the name of these mountains, but their beauty was breath taking. It seemed a bit strange to pass them by on our way to LA. The small clouds that surrounded them made them feel so inviting. They just seemed to be the beginning of a life long dream to visit this very special place.

All in all my trip to Hollywood and LA was one that will live on in my memories for the rest of my life. Yes there were some small disappointments with the glitzy Hollywood but all in all my experience here was a good one. I would recommend that if you have not paid this wondrous world a visit you should

It is a dissappointment sometimes when you visit Hollywood as you mentioned. However, if you can look past the couple of let-downs it is definately a great place to visit! I am so glad you had a good time, and thank you for sharing the pictures also. This is a great article!
