Since he mentioned me when he opened his oh-so-corporate-looking domain of a blog, I think its fitting to mention him here. Yes, French Chicken Alps Afredo. Thank you for telling me to open a blog. Also, thank you for the educated vs. learned chat.

Laptops/desktops in this household crashed a couple of times already so those memorable and/or significant YM talks before were not archived. I can’t remember when it was exactly. All I can remember was that it was in the middle of the night and we suddenly decided to talk about the very heavy life questions/concepts. We were talking about universities, colleges and schools; how subjects were taught; what GE was for. Of all the things we talked about, I remembered hoping to be learned one day.

Let’s clear that up. The society demands that it’s citizens become educated- go through primary, secondary and tertiary schools, complete requirements, and get diplomas- in the hope that as we journey on, we pick up life wisdom and street smarts. Now being learned is becoming an erudite. By definition, an erudite is a person of great wit, wisdom and sound judgement. Not everybody who gets to graduate has wisdom and sound judgement. Thats what I want to achieve someday.

Yeah I know. It is kind of a romantic-idealist concept. And I know, the romantics and the idealists are the people the expect the most out of the future; and that setup makes disappointment and heartbreak inevitable. But its okay. (Love of) Learning is challenging. Its a small price to give for a very precious payout.

So there, still trying to figure out how this works. haha. But hey, I’m here. THIS exists. Yes citizens of the world (who might care for reasons unknown), I have a blog. and these (virtual) pages will hold my once-in-a-while highlights and seemingly uninteresting exterior. But I’d write about the mundane and the exciting, so classify them as you wish.
