Something has gone down…

Dear All,

I feel so disappointed.

Over the weekend and today I work on three pieces of work. Two articles and a flash fiction piece.

The flash fiction was based on horror and yes it was pretty gruesome and there was the mention of a rat taking off with a mans penis but he was dead at the time and I was really quite pleased with the story but it was Declined because it was offensive, obscene, harmful (well it was for the man that lost his bits to a rat) But I feel if I change it I will have to get rid of the whole point of the story! *stamps feet and sticks out bottom lip* so that is my first bit of disappointment!

The first article I wrote early Saturday morning, it was called Erogenous Zones, Touch Me, Touch Me Now! it was published on Socyberty on Sunday but when you clicked on it you ended up with a blank white page! Arrrrggggggg Somebody please write an article on stress!!!

This problem eventually righted its self. However today was another matter. I spent all morning, researching, thinking, seeing things from all points of view until I felt I had enough information to write a piece on Euthanasia, The Ending of a Human Life. I was pleased with my sensitivity on the subject, seeing all views and not just my own. It was published soon after I submitted it but people that have viewed have been unable to comment on it, it just won’t go through, I even tried myself. This was a big blow because I was really looking forward to reading everyone else’s comments and thoughts.

I must send out a big thank you to the people that tried to comment couldn’t but came and left me mail, I really appreciate that. Lets hope this problem sorts its self out because I know I am not the only one.

PS. I decided not to put an image into this work because when I asked for image suggestions, I got lots and lots of pictures of mens dingle dangles, soft and hard and I think the huge black one was a horse!?

LOL at your last paragraph (and the above reponse hehehe) – I’ve reported the comment issue and they’ve emailed to say they’re working on it.

  • writing4angels on Oct 27, 2009

:) The credit of this piece goes to the “Title” and of course you lilyrose!!!

    excellent

  • ken bultman on Oct 27, 2009

No, that one’s mine. I can explain the color. I’ll go back again today to see if I can comment on your assisted suicide piece. It was a valuable article worth commenting on. I don’t know about the rat thing. I’d like to find out for myself.

I still can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t leave comments on Socyberty. Yesterday, when I clicked on an article the second time it started downloading onto my desktop. That has never happened before.

  • Christine Ramsay on Oct 27, 2009

I have found I can’t leave comments on that site either. It is a shame because a lot of writers are missing out on comments.
I like this piece, especially the last bit.

All of this stuff was going on and I didn’t know anything about it. Well, I know about it now.

  • chantell on Oct 27, 2009

    Thanks for sharing

Both my husband and I tried to comment on the Euthanasia piece.
Personally I feel that we should totally allow it. Of course my original comment was much longer, but I fear typing long comments now and having them rejected.
As for the rat and the penis, maybe animal rights protesters got involved. poor rats

Sorry to hear about your disappointment. Send an email to Triond regarding this matter and see if they can do anything about it. It might be a temporary glitch

  • Frosty Johnson on Oct 27, 2009

Ha ha thats funny, i too have had articles turned down for being explicit, i think i might start doing some articles on cuddly bunny wunnies and cats they also seem to get lots of hits!

    Miss L…
Glad that you are getting lots of back-up support on this problem…sorry you had to get your “back up” and needed to bring this to the attention of the “powers that be”.
As for the stress level…my favourite form of stress relief is to jump up and down and scream and holler and shake my fist at someone…oh, but that’s when I’m driving!!! Sorry…head to your nearest aromatherapy shop and get yourself a container of patchoulli aromatherapy oil and put a few drops on pulse points…inner wrists, inner elbows, inner knees, inner thighs, behind your ears and massage it in…don’t use too much because small amounts act as a sedative while extra amounts act as a stimulant and can have arousing effects on others…well, come to think of it, that ain’t so bad because that can be a great stress reliever too!!! Take care.

  • lillyrose on Oct 27, 2009

woohoo… Jimbob, I am away to get some of that oil… if it makes me fall asleep I know I haven’t put enough on until I get some sexy time offers! hahaha

  • lindalulu on Oct 27, 2009

Nice one, and I wish I could read the story that was declined too!

  • Sourav on Oct 27, 2009

I know the problem. Problem with Socyberty is still there. Really irritating!

  • Lostash on Oct 27, 2009

I’ve read it….it was great. A nice horror piece thats well worth the read if our Lilly will spill it out to everyone! Maybe you should write a nice poem about horses and see what happens this time……?

  • lillyrose on Oct 27, 2009

Yes no problem just message me your email if you want to read it!

  • David Crerand on Oct 27, 2009

You can post the story direct to the forum if they won’t publish it.

  • STEVE666 on Oct 27, 2009

I tried to comment on your erogenous zones article on Socyberty.

  • Paul Roberts on Oct 27, 2009

Well that’s one way of clearing it all up. i told you we were having a problem. Glad you got it together at the end. What about the horse? Friend, fan, smile.

  • Tanya Wallace on Oct 27, 2009

LMAO loved the ending Lillyrose! It is good to let off some steam once in a while, trust me a I know otherwise you would do one of two things, throw your computer out the window or get charged for harrassing Triond. lol. At least we can comment here! I would like to read this horror story of yours,I love horror!! Can you change a few things around maybe went off with the mans balls lol, they may not recognize that word. I don’t think I would be able to post a few of my stories here, to gorry and now that I think about it I don’t think I would want to change a word about them so maybe try what David said.Let me know if you do! oh yeah I still can’t comment on socyberty!

  • Frances Lawrence on Oct 27, 2009

I tried so hard to put a comment on your article about euthanasia, it was very well balanced. Having watched my husband die horribly from cancer I know it is a really tough subject. I am not sure I would want someone I love to do it, but I would absolutely support their right to make that choice. If I was ever in that position I would like to be able to die with some dignity and no pain. So yes I would like to know that euthanasia was a possibility, but I am not sure that I would choose it.

  • WriteEditSeek on Oct 27, 2009

You are so hilarious! Now you’ve got me all interested to read that flash fiction piece about the rat and the man’s penis. LOL

Seriously, though, all of your obstacles are extremely frustrating. The comment illegal error thing makes me want to pull my hair out. Patience is a virtue I guess, but I don’t have it!

  • lillyrose on Oct 28, 2009

Thank you Frances, I know it is a very difficult subject to get your head around. My Grandfather also suffered great pain at the hand of cancer and I know when he was dying and taken into hospital he was given an over dose of morphine, so I know it goes on and thank goodness it does.

I think I will try to post direct David, thank you.

As for the horse Paul, I hope his photographic experience has ended and he is grazing on some lovely pasture!

  • live and lovin life on Oct 29, 2009

i hope it doesn’t happen again to you …..

  • Vikram Chhabra on Oct 30, 2009

I thought I was the only one having problems leaving comments. It is indeed frustrating. I hope things get better…

  • PhoenixRox on Oct 31, 2009

LOL.. men’s dingle dangles..that made me laugh quite a bit..

But on a serious note, I was getting that blank page too.. Urrghh.
I would have loved to read the piece that was not accepted.. *rolls eyes at them*.. Too bad

  • indianwriting on Mar 11, 2011
