On July 21, 2009 I went into the hospital to be induced into labor because I was having some severe health problems such as high blood pressure and swelling in my feet, the swelling was so bad that I could barely walk.  The last two of months prior to the 21st I was put on restrictions, then the last few weeks it was complete bed rest.

          So now we are at July 21, 2009 I go to the hospital to be there at 7 am I get admitted and taken to my room, there the nurses come in start the IV and begin everything going into this me, my husband, and my doctor had no reason to believe anything would go wrong with my other children I had to be induce because my cervix is so thick and not like it’s suppose to be so I dint dilate on my own so like I said there was no reason to believe that this would be any different.

         A few hours pass and begin having severe contractions but nothing is happening to change my cervix.  So now the whole day goes by very strong contractions but no change in my cervix at all so later that evening the doctor decides to stop the induction and they did a procedure known as a cervical which is to help thin the cervix. After that is done I continue to have contractions throughout the night I stay in the hospital that night.

        The next morning July 22, 2009 they start the induction again and I continue to have contractions all morning long still no change and at some point there was talk about sending me home so I was getting very scared, worried and discouraged. Then suddenly something happened I finally started to dilate I was finally at 2 we were starting to get very hopeful then about an hour or two late I was all the way to 5 I thought yes anytime now but then something happened there was no more changes I felt like I was on a roll coaster.

      All of a sudden I could literally feel myself slipping in and out of consciousness, I vaguely remember them saying something about the baby’s heart rate and my heart rate and I remember not being able to breath I just wanted to close my eyes. The next thing I knew I remeber them moving me onto a different bed the doctor said they needed to a c section. This is the first c section I ever had my other 4 children I had naturally.

    So they get me to the operating room they do the c section and deliver my beautiful daugther Noel she weighed 5 pounds and 9 ounces. After they delivered my daughter they tied my tubes which I what I wanted done I am thankful that our daughter is finally here but both me and my husband decided it was time to call it quits on having anymore children 5 beautiful children are more than enough for me and my husband.

     This wednesday august 19 Noel will be a month old already  we are both home now and doing wonderfully. My daughter had to spend 10 days in the hospital she didnt come home until august 1. I had to spend 8 days in the hospital because I had developed an infection from the surgey. Im doing much better now, slowly but surely healing and getting stronger and adjusting to having a wonderful perfect newborn.
