Thank you for reading.

Well lately it has come to my attention that many people seem to be soul searching these days. I myself have some times wondered at times what is my purpose an who am I really? The question is simple yet has no simple answer. I feel that someone’s purpose is what ever the hell they want it to be. Frankly I feel that my purpose is to try and help others. Sure, I might not be amazing at it but it’s what I feel in this moment. Another day, another time I might feel differently but for now it seems as though my purpose for being is to attempt to help others. Whether I personally gain in a direct way such as money or a long-term way such as gratification for a good deed or whatever else I may be doing.

The economy is still not doing so well and trends do not lie. When human suffering is great so are the numbers of people who turn to religion in a time of need. I feel they do not only turn to religion because they feel that god or another divine entity can help them out of their situation but for the sense of community. Churches do a lot of good as well as a lot of evil in this world.

Thank you for reading :)

Intersting. When the economy is not doing well it is very true that people flock to religions. Religion is opium for the masses (not my quote but I forget the person’s name) Spirituality is important to all aspects of one’s life. Recently I have done some soul-searching myself. I have not found a faith or something to believe in. I envy those who can believe in something etheral.

You seem to be speaking about a belief in the divine. Although divinity is extremely difficult to udnerstand and comprehend atleast according to the definition as it is supposedly beyond the comprehension of man kind. A belief in the divine is strange but extemely intereting. I personally do not believe in a force I can not comprehend as why would such a force not allow me to be able to thank them or more? Unless this force is completely unselfish but if God did exist it would either be a fignant of our imagination or possibly even made up. There may be a divine force that created everything but I will always feel that the idea beyong a god is a man-made phenomenon.
