Visiting a Gambling Casino in Joliet, Chicago.

It was a dreary Sunday afternoon when my husband picked me up from work. W had a row that aftenoon when he decided to take his mom out to buy something when she pretty well knew that i was suffering from a terrible tummy ache….its time to have the monthly. I wanted to go home and just lay down in my bed. So when they got back from Maxwells…she had to have a hot dog. I went inside the car without even saying goodbye. I have my husband the silient treatment all the way home?

I was wondering why he took a different route home. And when we passed the turn off i asked where we were going. He said since i was so mad he decided to take me out for dinner….nice way to take my mind out of being mad. We travelled an hour to Joliet Which is located in Chicago. We had a dinner at a buffet…the Golden Coral Buffet…all you can eat for just about $10 bucks or rather $10.99 plus tax and drinks.

The food was ok..not really that great but bountiful. There was a salad bar. Three different kinds of soup. Hot dogs a pleanty. Not to mention chicken quarters fried, barbequed and broiled. There was seafood and ofcourse the steak. Plus to top it all off the desert bar was a sight to behold…i pity the diabetics.

Dinner was good…i was full and getting sleepy. So i imagined after him saying sorry about the incident we would drive back home in a slower pace. But low and behold we went to the Harrah’s Casino.

The casino itself was as expected full of penny machines and the usual table games. I played a few penny machines but i was comparing the winnings. These machines with all their glitter and sound was not really giving out much winnings compared to those at the Majestic….another casino my husband frequents. So i decided to call it a day after winning a little change.

Hayyyy the perils of gambling……most people were not really winning in that casino. But i really dont want to give negative publicity….as they say…”You win some and you lose some”.  But really a nice ending to a rather bleak and rainy day. Thank God for the Golden Coral….how i love the food.
