When time is very crucial.

I hope you stumble upon this letter of mine in your oh so busy life. I don’t even know why I bother to write to you. I am not even sure if you will find the time to read this letter of mine, much less respond to it. But it is okay, I understand even if I really don’t. What I mean is that I learn to deal with this kind of attitude; the attitude of doing something good without expecting anything in return. After all, we all know that those who don’t expect are never disappointed.

It’s funny but sometimes in life that should be our attitude. We should go through life expecting nothing, just hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst – words of wisdom, so very true. But you know, even if you are like that, I cannot help myself but be worried for you. I find you so busy with life doing so many things that you often forget to have time for the more important things.

How I wish that sometimes you took the time to smell the flowers-to relax and enjoy life as God has planned for us to do. I don’t want you to wake up one morning and find your children all grown up without you noticing it. Don’t be too busy for your children. Set an example for them to emulate when they become parents too someday. Do not be just a good provider but also a good father that is always there for them especially in the special moments of their life. Celebrate with their victories and be their strength when they fall. Make them feel your presence in their life. Be there for them.

I hope you don’t mind my telling you these things. But somehow has to tell you before it’s too late.

I shall pause and cut this short for I know how busy you are. I don’t want to take too much of your time.

Bye and thanks for finding the time to read my letter.

Beautifully written and very sad. My father worked three jobs s I was growing up but always had time for us kids. I feel very lucky to have had him as my dad.

This was very well written and a lot of people should read this not just fathers but mothers too. I think we all need to think back when we were children and what we wanted from our parents and give that to our children.
