This letter, which I drafted and immediately submitted to the head office of the security.

Good day Sir,

I am writing this letter to inform your office about my personal concern regarding how your people treat the civilian passengers of the company bus and other vehicles entering the plant premise.

I have observed that it is a protocol that guards will ask for any identification of those going into the bus. I believe it is all for the sake of security. But I think it is not proper to make those people feel insulted and belittled. It is alright to ask the person about who he/she is and his/her whereabouts. I think there are proper ways to ask these questions. And as what I have witnessed, some of the security guards have crossed over the line of being humane in interrogating civilian passengers. Not just as I have witnessed, but I have experienced it also more than once. And I think my other friends can attest to have similar experience as well.

Yesterday, 14th of March, I unfortunately missed the 6:30AM bus trip. I waited at the gate A with the hope to hitch a ride on other vehicles. With a bit of luck, I was able to ride the guard service. I was somehow thankful for the ride despite I was late for my 7:00 AM duty. But at the Y junction area, I was told to get out of the vehicle by the guard on duty Mr. Quiza. I knew it was part of the protocol. I answered all his questions politely but still he seemed to doubt me. He began mumbling words I don’t think part of good etiquettes of being a man of authority.

Perhaps it was really my day. My friends and I went to church and went back to guesthouse by the 7:30PM bus trip. And we experienced almost similar interrogation-kind of questioning by Mr. Mopon before being allowed to get into the bus.

I am NOT vying their respect as a regular employee since I am still quite new here. I know I still have to gain it for years. But what I am only asking for is a little humaneness treatment from them. This is not just for me and my friends but for those other civilian people asking to hitch a ride for the bus.

Regards,

Franklin
