This letter is in response to the US Government Under President Obama prosecuting three navy seals for an incident in which a prisoner was allegedly punched. The prisoner was responsible for the Deaths and Mutilations of four US citizens.

Dear Mr. President,

It has come to my attention that our military is currently in the process of prosecuting 3 navy seals for allegedly hitting a detainee.  I find this development disgusting.  These are our men and if they happened to bloody the lip of a man that killed 4 of our people and hung their burned bodies from a bridge I state unequivocally that the punch was justified.   As an American citizen I want to make it very clear that I stand behind the actions of our men and that even though it may have been wrong to punch the murderer it certainly does not warrant any punishment beyond a simple reprimand.

As President of the United States of America you have the ability to pardon these soldiers.  If you do not exercise this ability you are siding with the enemy yet again and no longer warrant the respect of myself or the American People.  Your administration has made a mockery of our military and this is an opportunity for you to stand up and do what is right.  Are you going to side with the American people Mr. President or are you going to side with the terrorists?

I take liberty and freedom very seriously as do those men who lay their lives on the line every day.  Our enemies do not deserve the same protection as our citizens.  Let me make it crystal clear.  I do not condone the striking of a prisoner, but at the same time I will not stand by while our government turns on the men who protect us all.  If you are no longer on the side of our soldiers I humbly ask you to step down as commander and chief for you have lost the confidence of all of America.

God Bless America,

Brad O’Neill

Some things are simply better off left to those operators who actually get the job done. Torture is one thing, but a well-timed belt in the mouth for the purpose of gathering intelligence doesn’t exactly ruffle my feathers.

You go Brad ! I fully agree except for the words “humbly ask”. Maybe “adamantly demand” would be more suitable.

The best thing about this country is we have the right to criticise our government. Way to express yoour opinions and hopefully some where, Obama has been told something very similar to this and he listens.

This kind of reminds me of the article you wrote about political correctness and how it can be more detrimental than beneficial. Do I care about indiscriminate shedding of blood to achieve totalitarian aims..hell no!..do I care about scum-sucking bastards who plan, plot and kill people..NO!!!..what this detainee did was motivated by demented hatred..a punch in the mouth was too good for him!!

With all do respect, you have to understand that under the Geneva Conventions, even prisoners of war have rights. If the president had let the soldiers get away with this, he would still have had to take punishment for it, and in any case, he might have been impeached. The president may have the ability to parden criminals, but what the people of the U.S don’t often know is the president has much less power than they think. For instance, did you know that the president can’t call to war without the say of congress. And did you know that he can’t control state law. In fact, his position is only in place so that currently standing laws are enforced. Even still, he is no more powerful than any other position of the U.S government, and most U.S citizens either don’t know that, or they forget that after so long. But again, I mean no disrespect friend, I only wanted to inform. I fully understand, and definitely respect your right, just as mine, to say what you wish that is protected by the constitution of this almost free nation. LOL

    Thanks Guys, BBP-Studios

I hope Obama got the message “loud and clear”. In wartime which we are now in, the rules change which means there are no rules when dealing with terrorists who seek to kill every American on site. The biggest mistake these navy seals made were not extending the same courtesy to this gentleman. Well written and said.
