In wartime which we are now in, the rules change which means there are no rules when dealing with terrorists who seek to kill every American on site. If the president had let the soldiers get away with this, he would still have had to take punishment for it, and in any case, he might have been impeached. The president may have the ability to parden criminals, but what the people of the U.S don't often know is the president has much less power than they think. For instance, did you know that the president can't call to war without the say of congress. And did you know that he can't control state law. In fact, his position is only in place so that currently standing laws are enforced. Even still, he is no more powerful than any other position of the U.S government, and most U.S citizens either don't know that, or they forget that after so long. But again, I mean no disrespect friend, I only wanted to inform. I fully understand, and definitely respect your right, just as mine, to say what you wish that is protected by the constitution of this almost free nation.
