A letter I wrote in response to an e-mail by the MoveOn organization. The letter was sent regarding Senator Palin, Barrack Obama, and John McCain, as well as all the political scandals, and bashing that occur so often.

I feel I must, as a young adult convey my feelings about recent political events. I’m rather tired of hearing such rash and rude political jargon from BOTH parties. I have come to understand that this is primarily what politics seems to be about, but the fact that both parties are simply so rude and annoying disgusts me. Yes, I am a democrat, in fact I recently purchased a wonderful tee-shirt proclaiming such at Penn Yan’s democratic head quarters. But as I said, I am disgusted with both parties, though more so the republican party. First of all, I wish to say that Rudy Gulliani’s speech was both irrational and vulgar. It was almost violent and made little sense, though told many lies, Even an ABC news reporter stated something similar, about the speech not belonging on public television.

And Senator Palin’s speech was no better, again bashing Obama, Lying 85% of the time, the other 15% of the time her facts being completely irrelevant. But as I said, The democratic party hasn’t been a whole lot nicer, They didn’t lie as much, and certainly focussed on the issues instead of attacking their opponents for two thirds of the speech. I just shut off the Television last night at John McCain’s speech, after watching a good 80 percent of it. He did a good job of continuing Palin’s wrath of Democratic attacks. And the thing I hated the most is that people where cheering for both McCain and Palin. Palin, a former member of a party that wanted to succeed Alaska from the nation, a person who wanted the books removed from a library in her home town, and then tried to have the librarian fired for not supporting her. McCain, a person with just as little executive experience as Obama.

No, that’s right, he lead a troop, Im pretty sure that it would take millions of troops to equal the size of the united states. And McCain, a person who called his wife one of the worse things you could ever say to a woman. If you care to look for the facts, they are all around you, Here’s my tip: go online and search around a little, it’s suprisingly easy to discover your party’s dark secrets.

I’m not going to rave on any longer, I hope I’ve changed the minds of some, though I’ve found that in penn yan that is hardly the case. I may be just 14, but just as is with Barrack Obama, Age and Experience is no substitute for common sense, and knowledge.
