This was a letter to an old friend of mine. I was so angry at the time when I wrote it. I read it for the first time in like seven years. I thought it was funny. You might too.

Ashlee,

I just wanted to write and tell you about how perturbed I am with how you acted on our Orlando trip. I have never seen anybody act the way you acted in my life. I was so embarrassed and angry, especially the way you treated my mother. You tend to snap in and out of modes. I have put up with that for nearly eleven years. I believe it is time that you grew out of your tantrums. You do not know how hard it was for all of us to help you out on meals and other things. We wouldn’t have minded helping you if you actually showed the least amount of gratitude. For you to picture adequately of how you acted, picture all three of your brothers on their worst days and multiply that by ten. That was the rate of annoyance you contributed to. Just in case you don’t know what I am talking about then I will tell you what lovely things you did on the trip. Occurrence #1- you ran out of money. If I knew that I was on a budget, I would not have spent that much on a shirt. We tried to tell you… but you ceased to realize that since you were out of money you were putting us all out.

Even though you did get the shirt, you were ill almost the whole time. We couldn’t just leave you home to play golf, go to Gatorland, or go somewhere else. Since you were out of money, we all had to go cheap so we could afford to take you with us. Occurrence #2- I saw a dragon shop in Island of Adventures when we went back the second time. I said, “Oooh, I need to go back there to find Diane something. She likes dragons.” You say, “ Why are you going to buy Diane something?” I say, “ Because she is my friend and she always gets me a souvenir when she goes out of town.” You say, “ You don’t ever buy me anything…” I guess you saw the look I gave you because you say very low… “Just kidding…” That just shows how inappreciative you are. Another thing, you had no right to even go there. It is my business if I want to buy her something or not. Talking about that I don’t ever buy you anything… what do you do for me? I don’t ask much of you. Yes, you have helped me out with gas. Well you know, I did take you to school every day. So I believed that that was not too much to ask for. I do appreciate the graduation gift also. But since we are talking… my 18th birthday…
