Dear Mr. Politician,

Until the incumbent politicians grow a back bone and stand up for things we believe in, why should anyone in office now be re-elected. When the republicans had control, they let the liberal democrats help set policy? I think that too many politicians have forgotten they were elected to represent the people. It seems that now days the politicians go to Washington to represent the government, with a “Who Cares” attitude when it comes to what people really want. The Democrats believe that government is the answer, when most people in the real world believe that the government is the problem. No one, no political party and nobody in position to do anything ever does the right thing.
Bailing out banks with tax payer dollars, bailing out automotive companies with tax dollars and spending our way into oblivion is not what the Federal government was founded to do. The Federal government was only supposed to have certain powers not delegated to the states, such as national defense. Government from the state level is now dictated by the feds and most powers have been circumvented by the feds in lieu of receiving tax dollars for pet projects. The whole damn thing is a mess and no one wants to fix it. Especially the politician in Washington who derives power by holding the purse strings.
With so many issues on the table, why doesn’t some one in DC address them with out the fear of persecution by the press and media? The issues that can’t seem to be address without someone screaming bloody murder seams to be the ones that would be the easiest to fix if anyone up in Washington had in GUTS.
Immigration is a good one to start with. With the millions of illegals in the US right now, no one wants to admit that it has gotten out of control. The politicians are too afraid to do the right thing, because they are afraid of the names that the liberal press and media may call them. NO GUTS is what I call it. What if we just enforce the laws, if you find an illegal, ship him or her back, until they apply to get in legally. The next time you hear a politician say there isn’t an easy fix, remember that is just some who is scared to do or say the right thing. They have no backbone or independent thinking.
