An open letter format for people to use to address politician during the mid term elections coming up.
Next, taxes and tax reform is another thing that politicians refuse to do anything about. The only thing that anyone in Washington knows how to do is stick there hand out for more. The government has got to the point that they feel all money is theirs and we should feel grateful that the IRS lets us keep any at all. Between sales taxes, gas taxes, income taxes, FICA and everything else that the government taxes us on, we already pay more than we can afford. What about the FAIR TAX? Where do you stand with that issue? The next time you hear a politician speak about the need for more money, remember it is your money he feels that he has the need for. At least with a fair tax, everyone pays. If someone is paid under the table, they pay the tax, if an illegal get’s paid cash he pays the tax, no one rides free.
Oh, I almost forgot, Social Security. What a fraud that is. If a private company was running it the way the government is, they would be in jail next to Ken Lay of Enron. The social security administration is probably run by the same people who run Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, I guess we can all see what going to happen in the future. If Social Security crashes and millions of people are without the little bit that government is paying back to them, then what?
While I’m at it! The farce known as the War on Drugs, this is one war the United States will never win. As long as people have free will, people will drink, smoke, snort and what ever else that make them forget the trouble of the day. Until the government wakes up and figures out that they can not control a person’s free will the war will continue in vain. If there were some smart people in Washington, I figure that there is not that many, considering most of them are lawyers, they would get rid of the archaic laws like they did with prohibition. This way maybe they tax drugs the same way do alcohol and control distribution as well. Until, you take the profit from drugs, the violence and crime associated with it will continue, just as it did with the rum runner and moonshiners in the prohibition era. The revenue created from the taxes generated by just legalizing Pot, would pay for rehab center to treat all drug addicts including alcoholics. Oh, wait I forgot, that would make to much sense for a politicians to consider. They would rather over crowd jails with people using drugs, that way they have an excuse to let killers and robbers out early. And I hear that county love having the courts backed up with minor possession charged people so they can collect probation money.
Until I see someone with some independent thought process, that is not afraid to say that I’m here to represent the people, not the government, I QUIT. I am not voting for any of the same ole same ole.
Where do you stand, with the government or the people? Ask that question next time you have a chance to talk to a local representative.
If enough people speak up maybe someone will hear. Can Obama hear you? Can Pelosi hear you? Can anyone hear you.
