I got a little proud to call the woman who raised me since I was sixteen my true mom.. Seeing as how I have gone through the foster system and have had a few. She has been amazing ^_^
I’ve searched everything I know of, & nothing seems to answer my question. Why do our mother’s build us up to be so strong, defensive, (almost completely bitchy one might say
) and so ruthless? I’m just going to answer it myself. It’s because we get to learn how to truly get ready for real life. Dealing with b.s. that comes from future relationships with people that enter our lives. For moments when our mother’s safe & loving arms CAN’T (not don’t want to) be there, we can create the life she knew we would be happiest in. Tho we aren’t always happy, & life feels like a big scary thunderstorm, we know she built us up to put on our own headphones & keep walking North till we face an obstacle course that we beat on our own. Our own power she helped create in our own strength for us to portray in life. Where one day our mother can say “You really are ready to fly from my nest” & we can just say “I love you mom.” & it mean more than it ever had any other time you had ever say it in your life…. You built me up mom, & I know it
