When friends become lovers…. Sometimes the grass IS greener on the other side…!
So green seemed the grass that summer day,
And the breeze tickled under the bluest sky.
The river soothed in predictable course,
While pulsating waters rushed by.
We perched our bodies, with shoulders flush,
Comfortably captivated by the scenic lure.
We talked and laughed as we often did,
But something foreign began to stir.
His scent and touch suddenly enticed,
And I heard his words as song.
I wondered, as I trembled,
How I hadn’t seen this all along!
To my surprise, he was just in tune,
And he pressed his lips to mine.
Our kiss was in perfect harmony,
As we crossed that friendly line.
Neither of us expected the intensity,
Of what had impulsively occurred.
We sampled a preview of our passion,
And boundaries that deliciously blurred.
The sun fell, and we ventured to his home,
With quickened beats that mirrored tread.
My mind engaged enchanted journey,
As I anticipated the magic in his bed.
Behind his doors, our cravings burned,
As our hands extended to desire.
We kissed longer and deeper than before,
And we undressed to fuel that fire.
We indulged and explored until overcome,
As we lay together, naked and new.
We were starved for give and take,
And our appetites just grew.
His ready swell took me to the edge,
As my fluids streamed and raced to feel.
He entered with a lustful precision,
As time framed euphoric and surreal.
Our rhythm became a synchronized force,
And the friction made our pleasures moan.
We fervently bounced out-of-bounds,
Well beyond the friendship-zone.
All space outside us paled neutral,
As we were ablaze by lover’s flame.
Even our soft and gentle whispers,
Screamed for more of the same.
Our mounting tension was magnified,
And my pulls refused to cease.
His knowing thrusts matched mine,
Until we both met Love’s release.
Delightfully exhausted, we slept,
Forever tangled in each other.
The grass was so much greener,
That day my friend became my lover.
