Runs into former friend once dated, had had a big falling out with but chose to overlook it, and had the most relaxing feeling of SELF and NORMALCY in the past couple years.
I saw you tonight.
Never thought THAT would happen…
You always said, never go backwards
So I didn’t But apparently
You didn’t either
As you hadn’t considered me your past
Your strong embrace
Has always surprised me
And delighted me
And made me feel…
Like we’re both on the same page
Like we are both strong and good.

I won’t tell you that
But you’ve been one of three ever
Who went from strict friend
To a bit more
Not much more…
Physically
You ended that before it hardly began.
I feel it wasn’t necessary
It never was
Your gaze carried me
I was myself again
More than you ever knew
Told you I loved
Watching your fingers expertly
Flip through all those Cds.
Why you chose to open up
After so long
I will never know
How you managed to see your wrongs
Not just mine
Is new for you
I admire that a lot
Your energy lightens me
When you smile or dance
When you are gloomy
I always tried to fix that
I feel you were a bit of both today
How did you know
We were in the same boar
And that we needed some time together again
Away from the “noise”
I knew you cloud read me in a couple ways
But never with such intuition as this time
I thank you for it
It was something I think we all needed
If I had you in my life just like that
