I have never really stopped writing you love letters–In my heart.

I have never really stopped

writing you love letters–In my heart.

The moment I paused,

were the momentsI lived…

…the words written in the love letters.

Each day as I wake up, your sleeping face is a gentle reminder of how God truly loves me.

Eight years ago I was but a mere child. Exploring the world without seeing it with my eyes, as if a blind person groping her way into the darkness of what life really means. Then you came along, seven years my senior but just as naive.. I smile at the memory. You were always trying to please me, and I, on the other hand, almost always repeatedly tells you that you are not my type and never will be. Thunder struck my cold heart, and what was molded in ice was gently melted by the warmth of your love.

Looking back, I can still remember the moment I said yes. It was June, and we were chatting animatedly at the park. Your perfume so mesmerizing, I never had the guts then to ask what it was, now I know.. It’s Green Irish Tweed Scent by Creed. I fell in love firts with your scent. Then followed my first real kiss and as If everything else melted as your lips touched mine. I knew, from that very moment.. You are that person I so begged the Lord to give me.

We wrote each other love letters every month during our first year. I still have them until now. I still smile everytime I read your grammatically wrong sentences which had improved with time. The last love letter you gave me was during our first valentine with Gabby. It was four years ago and I never wrote you a love letter since, I am writing again now, not for you alone but for Us.. A love letter we’ll write together until we turn old and gray. A love letter we must live each day of our lives.

Someone God-fearing and True

Lord, that’s all I ask of you

I do not ask for a rich man

Values and Morals are most important one

Grant me Lord someone

Truly from you, truly The One

My prayers were heard

He gave me a wealthy man

Earthly wealth not

Rather a man with a very wealthy heart

Capable of so much love

With patience so vast

Even the Eiffel it will surpass

His family plans are great

However we rejoice in our poverty

For whatever meager we have

Is multiplied tenfold

with the warmth of our love.
