Letter to the President.

Dear Mr. President:

I am writing you this letter to congratulate you on a well ran campaign and for becoming the 44th President of the United States. I believe God has given you the reigns of this country to deliver in form its foes and to give the people its hope and prosperity back.

Although your tasks are momentous, just take them one at a time, and listen to your heart because it knows all truths. For to long men in power have listened to their minds and have been governed with such. Govern with your heart and the belief that God will give you the courage and strength to choose wisely your actions.

For when a man thinks of stealing something, the first thing that comes to the mind is I want that and I am going to take it, listening to his mind will say it’s ok take it. But at the same time his heart will say that this is the wrong thing to do. But more times then not he listens to his mind, for to me God does not govern a mans mind, but the heart. He has given us the right to choose between good and bad.

I guess what I am trying to say is everyday you wake up give it to God first, use your mind to the best of your ability, but let your heart be governed by God. And we as a people will come out of this dilemma together and be a greater nation for it. You are the most powerful man in the United States of America, and you know the bible says evil dwells in high places, but God has always through time picked the least of men for his greater tasks.

I think of all the things you must go through daily now, and I hope and praise God he guides you through them, I don’t know you personally Mr. President, and I didn’t hear your first speech address to the Senate. But when I first seen you on television and heard what you were saying, it felt to me you were speaking from the heart. I told my friends at that moment that you were going to be our next president. They thought I was crazy. I didn’t even bother to campaign for your cadency because some how I knew you were going to be our next president.

The people were ready for change, and so were you. Just don’t let becoming president change you. I have enclosed an Inauguration Poem that I was inspired by God to write on that day. As I was watching I just picked up the computer and started to write it. I am not a writer to say the least. I am also an African American, Even though this poem sounds like it’s for the black race, in my heart and eyes its for all Gods people. I hope you enjoy it many of my friends did.

PS: Remember this Mr. President, each day:

Most believe in a religion and faith, but religions are a need or search for something greater then us to believe in. We are not Catholic, Baptist, etc. But we are the children of the Kingdom Of God. Therefore as it has been said “Search ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all things will be added unto you”. But if you believe in God then you are a child of the Kingdom of God. So in conclusion if any man asks you what religion are you. Just tell them you are not searching for religion, because you have found your God. You are a CHILD OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Sincerely:

Lavell Turner

Best wishes to you and your family.
