Dear America,

As a student, I feel my rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness choked from my life. Coming from an Immigrant family, I had minimal understanding of my rights as a person living in the land of freedom. Stupefied, I went to 6th grade unarmed with the law.

Every time I exercised my freedom of speech, I was harshly sent to confinement and detention. For example, I would spread information on different texts pertaining to warfare. For this, I was sent to In School Suspension, or I.S.S.  America, is this not a clear violation of my freedoms? Am I not of equal status to my teachers? Then why? Why is my inalienable right of Life constrained?

The punishment above constricts the minds of our children, to be absolutely obedient to the government, not the law. You may ask,”Well, is the government not the law”?  No, the government is a body of people, getting consent from the majority of people to impose order out of chaos. Enforcing order out of chaos, this is not necessarily what makes the government, the law. The consent of the people, however, is the important part. If the government does not have the consent of it’s people, it cannot rule, and We, the people, are responsible to ending the tyranny of unjust government that steals the rights of the people.

Law, this word is too casually used. Politicians do not make it, Lawyers touch on it, theologians immerse themselves in it. Law, is perfect, Law cannot be distorted, or else it cannot be Law. The Law I am referring to, is the rule of God.  Our children, should learn to follow this law. This law, grants us the right, yes, the right to recieve the grace of God, and the merciful blessings of Life,Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

You may say, but children, are but of course, minors. They cannot discern right from wrong, they are not ready, and also, your teachers probably confined you to save great panic from the people, therefore having consent. I tell you the truth, Children,are one of the most responsible things on this earth, they are pure, when no “wiser” adult influence has been imposed upon them. Also, the scenario which the teacher had consent from the people, should have been expressed to me. The People, also had a choice to read the texts or not.     

My parting words to you America, Please, learn from my mistakes, ask your kids about school, teach them the law, the sacred constitution, which all Americans are bound to. Please do not repeat the mistakes that I have made. Preserve our God-Given tradition. Amen.
