Living the small town life in Alabama.

Hi readers,

My name is Jennifer and I would like to share with everyone my small town life in Alabama.  I often turn on the television and see movies portraying Southern communities as hillbilly or redneck, I would say that they are right, sometimes.   I do find myself laughing at the hilariousness of passing gas, or birping, or the everyday verbatum used in conversation.  We are small town people, with big hopes.  We do find humor in life because that is all we have.  Our families are large and our houses are never empty.  We thrive on the simple fact that on Sunday we will all be together for Sunday dinner, and Joe will show up late, drunk.  And, Sam will probably start a fight before he leaves.  And you can’t forget about the loud mouth sister-n-law who nobody wants to get her started.  We all are there for the same reason, Mama.  We gather around with all of our children, enjoy a very fattening meal, share stories of past embarrassments.  At the end of the day we are happy with our small town life.  Everyone leaves sharing hugs and I love you’s.  Sometimes everyone will even get a kiss from the one who had just a little too much to drink.  I guess the point that I would like to get across, is that we are small town, we know we are.  We are happy in our own way, and we know that the most important thing in life is having people around you that you love and care about.  Take care of the ones you love, because one day you will need them to do the same for you.  I could type all day long on this topic, but I do not know how interesting it is to others.  Let me know if anyone would like to hear more about personal stories of my life.

                           Thanks for reading,

                                            Jenn
