Every one is getting hurt in this economy. Isn’t there anyone out there that can help?

We need a hero. We are all hurting and seemingly falling apart. We are calling for a hero. All of us, democrat and republican alike, are yelling for someone to come and pick us up and put us back to where we belong. Well I am here to tell you, we elected our hero. He is the current President of the United States. He is working for us. To put us back together again. However there is something else that I think we need to realize. As much as he is the hero that we have all been looking for, he is human. With saying that I think we need to help him out.

What I mean by help him out is, I know that there is a way to give back to the country that we live in and love by pulling together and giving our support. Not only that, I know that there are people in the United States that have the money that they can donate to help out. If it means helping out with their own states budget or donating the money to a particular cause that has been dropped or put down because of the economy. I know that some of the money that these people have is for their living expenses. But I also know, like a lot of us do, that they have the money to put up a little to help out. Even if it is to their own State or community.

There are people who need this help. The wonderful person that we have put in the position to try and fish us all out, is trying and doing his best. He is after all human and there is only so much he can do by himself. So knowing that he doesn’t have a “super power”, let us all give him one. Let us all pitch in where we can. If it means helping your neighbor, who might be on the verge of losing their home, by having a garage sale with them. If it means that you are a millionaire and your state budget is cutting things that we need (i.e. school, roads, Police enforcement) then pony up and help us all out.

We have picked our hero. He is human. But if we can be his super power, we can help be our own hero’s. Our kids need the health care that he is trying to fix. Our kids need the schools that we can help raise the money to help. There are choices being made for us, whether we like it or not. We can make a difference. An example look at all of the parents who have rallied in support of the schools being closed down in Washington state. Those parents took it upon them selves to rally and show their support for their children’s school. I know that if they had the money to donate to keep their kids school open and working, they would have. Now that we live in a nation that needs our help, lets give it. If it means raising the money, or donating it, or volunteering why not try. Lets work together and give our hero super powers.

Kudos! I agree wholeheartedly. Also, if people don’t have a dime to share, and many don’t (including myself)- we can all donate our TIME. I have been volunteering at The Waterfront Mission approximately 3 hours a week. It’s not much- but if we all did it then we would see a big difference. Thank you for allowing us to read your letter.
