A letter which I wish I could receive from my Grandfather but never will due to the circumstance. I was asked in class today to write a inspirational letter to myself from the point of view of a family member.
Dear Nick,
I heard you were in grade 12 and finishing your last year of high school. I am so proud of you. You have been very mature and responsible. Ever since you were 10 I was amazed at how mature you had already had become. If you stay the way you are, I’m sure you will be very successful in life. Don’t give up, you will go through rough times in life but also happy times. You have good jeans, you can do anything you want in life. It’s more important to enjoy your job than regret your job and suffer for the rest of your life. You must live everyday like it’s your last. If you don’t enjoy life you will never be happy. I wish I could have traveled more. However I became very weak in my 40’s. Alzheimer’s got the best of me. You wouldn’t believe how sad it is to not remember your own children and grand children’s names. I wish I could be your age again. You don’t know how lucky you are. I hope you take into consideration everything that I have said. I can honestly say you are the luckiest person I know.
Love,
Papere
