Sometimes a special person comes along and leaves a mark in your heart even after she moved on away from your life.
Dear Pi,
It’s been quite some time since we last heard from you. I understand why you stopped coming. I know that there are certain times in our life wherein we have to do things not because we really like to do them but because we felt it is the right thing to do no matter how sad and painful it may be.
But then we can not help but miss you, especially when we see Ann and Lyn. My mom, especially, is always on the look out for you. And even if it is not fair, we can not help but compare the new girl to you. I don’t know if we just love you too much for she pales in comparison to you. You are much warmer and friendlier and much more natural and sincere.
Sometimes I ask myself why good things never last, why there are always certain things that ruined a good relationship. I know you love each other so much, but I guess, sometimes, love is not enough. I really can not understand why two people who love each other have to fight or disagree about certain things. I am not only talking about you two, but people in general. Many people who love each other suddenly can not live with each other anymore. Indeed, life is complicated and full of ironies.
But then…is it really goodbye for the both of you? I hope not and I pray not. I am a most romantic at heart. Maybe, who knows, even if both of you have already moved on and found a new love, as long as you still haven’t tie the knot, I can still see a glimpse of hope for you two.
Forgive me if I can not help but still wish a happy ending for the two of you. Well, let us just leave it to God then. I believe that if you were really meant for each other, then your paths shall cross again someday no matter what.
Before I finally end this letter of mine, I want you to know that you are always welcome to our home, and you will always be a part of our family.
Take care always and we love you.
