An open letter to Triond.

Dear Triond,
First of all, I would like to thank you–whoever you may be–for allowing me the chance to have an online forum to publish my poems, essays, and photographs for people to enjoy as well as to meet and make new friends here. It’s been a wonderful as well as bittersweet experience.
It’s been almost a year since I first joined and in that time I have uploaded over 300 posts here–both documents and photos.
I am sure most people would agree that Triond is unique in that whatever is uploaded here is then disseminated to other sites for public consumption. As for making any serious money, this month I might break 400 pennies–not bad for posting every day and writing some top-notched essays.
I am still waiting to be on “hot content” — I guess what I write is not good enough. However, with over 300 articles here, you’d think the law of averages would work in my favor, right? Or to tweak what Wayne Campbell might say, “right, and monkeys will fly out of my butt, too.” Or maybe, I am just being discriminated against by the Triond server. After all, I am writing from Korea and maybe the server thinks it is the Stalinist one.
I had much hope for Triond when I became a member, especially the way that essays here are disseminated to other sites, but those hopes are diminishing. The latest letdown has been waiting for two of my essays to be published. It’s been two days since I uploaded them.
I see all of my friends being published, but I am still waiting. Maybe that server is discriminating against me after all.
Yeah, Triond has let me down.
Sincerely,
Papa Sparks — bummed out in Korea
