Celebrating freedom.

I look down
The rain leaves tiny drops of water on the
cement
They stir my memory even now
A city, clean, traditional, not unified
The raindrops pelt us and we run to a common
place
A common place with sundry beauty
Lovely gold jewels
Time pieces that tick away the minutes
Dresses that please and beckon the eye
I am only a visitor here
My legs are too short to reach the counter
I am a captive unto my sister today
She talks of lovely things
I consider the raindrops
