About when a girl leads you on and leaves you. It’s the feeling that we all get when we are left to struggle to pick up the pieces afterward.

Girl,. Don’t you know how high you left me
When you walked out of sight
What you did to me, do you know how it feels
I feel like you hung me out to dry
Danced at the end of the rope

Hanged and not quite quartered
Girl. You left me dancing at the end of the rope
How do you think I am going to cope
Nothing turns out the way you really planned
Could have caught that last boat to Japan
Instead I waited for you, look what you put me through

Danced on the end of the rope, all my air is choked
Danced on the end of the rope, all my colour is gone
Danced on the end of the rope, all my life is shot

Girl, I danced all night just to have a shot
Made my body bleed and sweat to show you what I got
Danced at the end of the rope is where I started
Now it’s the place you left me and I should have retreated
From the start but what does a boy even know
Left me to jump and I am just hanging at the end of a rope

Let me hang slow, take all the life out of me
Go free because I wont struggle with me feet on solid ground
You lift me in the air and all I have is support from the rope
Now we have reached the end and its what you leave me on
Danced at the end of the rope, it’s the only way I can cope

Danced on the end of the rope, take away my pride and my hope
Danced on the end of the rope, make my eyes lost vision of scope
Danced on the end of the rope, hang me until my death comes so long
