I wrote this poem out of my admiration for the biblical character "Gideon" and his obedience to follow God’s path for victory in times of need for his people as a leader.

‘GIDEON’…Judges 6…(lyrics of one of my new songs).

Intro: I’ve got my mind made up
               And I’m moving forward
               There will be no hinderance
That will be in the way
               I’ve got myself buckled up
               No more going backward
               Lovely sweet fragrance
In my life all the way

Chorus: Gideon rise up you are a mighty man
Gideon rise up victory bright as the sun
Gideon rise up you are a mighty man
Gideon rise up and do the best you can

First Verse: I’m so inspired by this story in Judges
The Bible says there was a time
That many did what was wrong in the
                 hedges
Giving no thought as to what was a crime                 But then Gideon stood up by the word of
God                 And did what was right as he saw in the
light                 He destroyed the heathen altar and all
the ills on board                 And victory was arrayed in God’s might(Repeat chorus & intro as midhook…………………….)Second Verse: What is a hinderance in a believer’s life                      To take the place of what you enjoy                      Sometimes where cometh all strife                      If not the things in place that annoy
But what Gideon did then we can do
likewise                      And be so free from all that hold us
back                      To taking charge of all that we need to
arise                      And please our maker blessed pack(Repeat chorus.&.intro.as.coda………………………..)
