This is my version of Erin Ivey’s song called Amelia (Amelia Earhart). If you do not know who Erin Ivey is, she is a folk/pop singer from Austin,Tx. She is also the Reid’s Cleaners Girl in the commercial.

I was a nappy headed slave girl

Who had hope all over

In every lil’ part of my being

‘Til I got older

And I ran away to something there

That I didn’t know, but believed if I dare

All aboard the choo choo train

Chug along to the north to be free

Only leave behind you

The tracks and steam

I am your conductor this trip

Moses is what they call me

No need to punch a ticket this time

Because our final stop is free

I opened the window then

And gave the tickets to the wind

All aboard the choo choo train

Chug along to the north to be free

Only leave behind you

The tracks and steam

It was quite hard to get where I was going

I know, because I knew where I’ve been

For the rest of my life-I’ll fight

To never come this way again
