A song that I have wrote in rememberance of my pappaw Lloyd who faught the long hard journey and is now going home to be with Jesus….pappaw I you will always be in my heart.
He’s going to meet his maker
Stand before him face to face
He’s going to meet his king
Standing in his saving grace
He was with us for a lifetime
He brought us so much joy
But now his journey’s over
He’s going to be with the Lord
He fought the long hard battle
But now his fight is done
He has the victory in Jesus
Confessing he’s number one
He’s going home_____
To his mansion in the sky
He’s going home____
Not forever saying goodbye
He’s going home____
Where skies are never blue
He’s going home____
And he’s waiting for you
His journey was a long one
It lasted many years
So don’t let your hearts be troubled
Wipe away your sad tears
His memory’s always with us
Helping us to carry on
But he’s going to his home now
His battle he has won
His love is always with us
Forever in our hearts
Even though for a little while
We’ll have to be apart
