Fun to write, despite the circumstance.
My heart stopped bleeding over you
It don’t pitter patter, no matter what I do
Electric shock, bicarb injection
Even thinking of you
This emergency resuscitation’s
Over, yes it’s through
My electrodes being disconnected
I’m not pulling through
This getting over your infection’s
Left me turning blue
You should have thought it over
While you still had the chance
I was better to you girl
Than any other man
I would have given you heaven
If it was mine to command
I would have laid down beside you
Just to hold your hand
But my heart has grown still
Like an old metal can
Guess you’ll do what you will
To your next hearted man
My heart stopped bleeding over you
It don’t pitter, patter
The doctor says I’m through
No palpitation, no circulation
Guess it’s really true
You can’t jump start
This broken heart
I’m dying over you
You should have thought it over
While you still had the chance
I was better to you girl
Than any other man
I would have given you heaven
If it was mine to command
I would have laid down beside you
Just to hold your hand
But my heart has grown still
Like an old metal can
Guess you’ll do what you will
To your next hearted man
Guess you’ll do what you will
To your next
Hearted man
