The war is coming can Velden get the defence force organized in time. You guys are stopping me from publishing names I’ve used hundreds of times how about you read the earlier stuff and just put it up.

Tyanna stood next to Velden in the large chamber that had been built for this purpose. The leaders off each army and race stood in the room looking at their leader in the coming war. Velden looked uncomfortable with all eyes on him. He had long since left the military life behind, being looked at as a leader again must have been hard to deal with.

It would be even harder if you take into account that there was more then just one legion of humans. There were members of multiple races and peoples. A million people would follow the orders he gave. The pressure was something she wouldn’t want.

Many of the people here were already putting their opinion in and that didn’t help matters. Hopefully Velden could get them settled down and organized. If not the Sslisk were going to sweep through the line like they weren’t even there.

“Why should we risk our lives when there are non-humans here.” A Triggen commander yelled as Tyanna frowned. “They could give us more time to prepare.”

“Why not use you?” A Narue hissed back. “We have come here in peace. We would have been happy to let them wipe you out.”

Tyanna understood the tensions between the two races. She had often wondered what Velden was thinking when he had the Narue brought in but she agreed with him on one thing. This was their world too. They had a right to help defend it and be part of a bigger governing body.

Velden let them yell at each other a little longer then tapped the handle of his spear hard on the floor. “Enough.” His voice boomed. “We do not have time for infighting. The Sslisk has broken through the wall and now hold one of our greatest cities. I want none of you thinking that you can make it threw this war unscathed. The Sslisk want us all dead. Not just the humans or Narue. They will kill all of you without a second thought. Pray we can keep them at bay.”

“And you are to lead us?” The Triggen roared.

“I am the heir of Naeamen.” Velden roared back. “I did not want the honor I now have. The fates have forced this destiny on me and I will do, as I must. If you do not wish to be part of this then go home and wait for death to find you, otherwise you will be silent.”
