All in one day Detective Tamara Davis’s life will change, after being betrayed by the entire department she’ll gain powers that she never fathomed and be forced to change her entire outlook on life. In part one of this story Tamara discovers her destiny.
It seemed that she was in a hollowed out building of some sorts.
She sat there for what seemed like hours, trying to absorb all that had happened in the past few hours. She tried to understand what she had seen in her vision, but now all that seemed like a dream, with each second fading and becoming less and less real. But she knew that all that she had been through was real. It had to be. There was no other way that she would even be there, here in this building, sitting here gasping for air even though she was sure that if she tried she could breathe just fine.
‘Be strong, Tamara.’ she heard her mothers voice say. She looked around but saw nothing.
She knew in her heart that from now on she was alone. That the next step she would make on her own, and that now she had to believe in her own power and strength or die.
This was her only option, she had no one and no where to turn to.
Her mind would have to be her new home. As she thought that she pulled on the last of her strength to pull herself to he feet and stand. She walked around for a while until she came to a staircase. A flash of the staircase from her vision came back to her and a lion headed woman in a red dress stood out to her.
It took all the strength in her body to make her way up the stairs. A flash. Fire eyes. She crawled up the last of the steps and a light beckoned her forward. A burst of strength made her stand and she walked slowly to the doorway that the light peaked from.
She pushed the door open and walked into a fully furnished studio apartment. As she walked through she could see that every wall stood, the furniture didn’t look new, but it looked fresh. There was even a refrigerator which was fully stocked, a working microwave and stove, and a couch that pulled out into a new bed with fresh sheets already there.
The electricity even worked. It was so amazing that it scared her. She couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Someone must be living here.” She said to herself. But as the hours moved on and the sun began to sink she began to doubt it more and more.
