Hamburgers are cheap and delicious.
Dear Diary:
Entry Number 13:
I had a difficult time sleeping last night. I’m very tired, but I have a lot to do today. At 10:00, I have a Music Appreciation class. Ms. Margaret DuMontee is the instructor. I’ve been told that she is very demanding. She also gives a ton of work to do. I see her three times a week. Harmony told me that Ms. DuMontee is a real task master. Gulp. I will be seeing the Conductor for a second meeting. I can’t wait. Also, I am going to learn how to play Extreme Musical Chairs.
Entry Number 14: Had an excellent breakfast. I spoke to Ben for awhile. He already has two girlfriends. He was telling me all about them. Ben didn’t talk about his ring this morning. My friend Ronald joined us at the table. Ronald became instant friends with Ben. I had to get going to my Music Appreciation Class. I said goodbye to Ben and Ronald. Music Appreciation was boring. I almost fell asleep in class. Ms. DuMontee has about as much charisma as sand paper. She does know how to pile on the homework. I took a brief walk around the grounds. It was a bright, sunny day. It was also becoming very hot.
Entry Number 15: I ran into Thomas Thugary. He plays the viola. He is downright arrogant and mean. He immediately became my foe. Thomas told me that I shouldn’t be at the Music Citadel. He practically spit in my face. I don’t know what his problem is. I plan to find out more about him when I see the Conductor.
Entry Number 16: Lunch was great. I’m stuffed. I had two grilled chicken breasts. I also had fresh, garden salad and carrot cake. Harmony sat with me. She seemed rather distant. I don’t know why. In fact, she seemed troubled. There was no cheerfulness in her voice. I was concerned. She told me that the orientation for Extreme Musical Chairs was to take place at 3:30. She told me that it was a fun game, but also a dangerous game.
Entry Number 17: I had my second meeting with the Conductor. He told me that there was a dark cloud forming above the Music Citadel. It was a warning that an attack from Sir Volta Viola was imminent. The Conductor told me all about my special abilities. First, I have almost perfect pitch. He told me that I have the makings of an exceptional musician. Second, I have the power to generate musical hypnosis. I can instantly put a person to sleep and make powerful suggestions that the person has to follow. Third, I can bend metal with my mind. The Conductor told me that I may have other special talents, but he has not yet determined what those talents are. The Conductor plans to cancel the field trip tomorrow. He will reschedule at a later date. The Conductor told me that Volta has many special talents as well. He also told me that Volta has followers that are called the Others. I was fasinated by this information, but also disturbed. I must learn about all my special abilities and how they can be used if the Music Citadel comes under attack.
Entry Number 18: The Extreme Musical Chairs is like no game that I have ever played. There are two teams to participate in the game. I have been chosen as the goalie of the Mauraders. The other team is called The Hungry Bulls. There are only ten minutes per game. The chairs in Extreme Musical Chairs keep moving on a flat surface. There is rock and roll music in the background. Different obstacles appear during the game. The obstacles range from a black cat to a fake King Kong staute. Practice will take place between 10:00 and 10:30. I’m tired. I’m going up to my bedroom and chill out. I’ll return to my entries after dinner. Bye for now!
